Abstract

This session is designed to continue the conversations about the FYS and learning, discussing, and participating in evolving the first year seminar (FYS) course in alignment with our university mission and vision. This session will provide a summary update about what we have discussed so far, identify the current proposed changes to the FYS, and continue the conversation about next steps in the Fellows program sponsored by Academic Affairs, professional development for faculty teaching the FYS in fall 2017, sharing ideas about incorporating open lab experiences, and the continued development of the FYS.
