Equity on Campus: Making Our Classrooms and Community Accessible for All

Abstract

The session will begin with a brief overview of the services and supports the Disability Services Office provides, and will continue with a discussion about how to reach students with a variety of academic, social, and emotional needs. We will ask participants to share effective strategies as well as concerns and issues that arise in the classroom and community when we try to accommodate the needs of a diverse population. Finally, we will share resources and tools available through our office and allow time for reflection and questions.
