Event Title

Part II: Integrating Academic & Career Development

Abstract

While nearly every college and university claims hands-on, applied, and experiential learning as a hallmark of its educational mission, few have been able to scale those opportunities to the academic disciplines and student populations that need them most. This presentation will highlight several proven practices and case studies in coordinating academic and career advising, equipping students to articulate their workplace-relevant skills, augmenting the curriculum to ensure well-rounded graduates, expanding faculty involvement with experiential learning, and reaching underserved student populations by lowering access barriers to these activities.
