Abstract

Participants will be introduced to Open Educational Resources (OERs) and Open Pedagogy in an effort to articulate a public-oriented mission for our work as instructors. We will cover how to: lower textbook costs, use and create openly licensed learning materials, design non-disposable assignments, and build connected learning architectures for courses and programs in service of a broader commitment to the public good.

Intended Audience

Faculty and instructors (including librarians), instructional designers, technologists, and those who work with students on academic or financial matters. USNH OpenEd ambassadors are welcome to attend (this content is likely already familiar to you, however) and share your projects and progress during the Q&A.
