On the invitation of the North Country Council (NCC), the project team met twice with NCC representatives and the Chair of the Lisbon Planning Board to frame a possible cluster-based engagement. Envisioning a positive outcome for both the town and students, the project team met with 15 local leaders and NCC, in Lisbon, to discuss the potential contribution of PSU to the Master Plan effort over the 2017/2018 academic year. The list of potential projects is long, prominently including marketing and branding challenges, assistance with website and social media communication, oversight of a natural resources inventory, as well as planning and strategic placement challenges. There is also an opportunity to continue work on the baseline study on attracting younger professionals to town (drawn from Lancaster Community Support - PCL 105). The initiative will kick off in early September 2017 with an intensive community-wide diagnostic exercise, led by the project team.
