As Plymouth State University transitions academically from discipline-specific departments into integrated and multi-disciplinary clusters, this Peace Wall project will provide an opportunity to transform PSU physically and culturally. This first phase project will be a colorful, tangible, interdisciplinary, permanent mosaic structure, created by many in the PSU community. It will enliven its location and evolve into subsequent but smaller, thematically-connected works of art throughout a number of student-focused spaces on campus. It will also join the Peace Garden as a visible symbol of unity and sign of the university’s growing commitment to programs and activities that foster community dialogues, a culture of peace, respect, dignity, and kindness to all, especially while facing many differences and challenges.
