Education Democracy & Social Change
This Integrated Cluster project, Advocacy in Action, promotes increased K-12 student achievement through advocacy, and family and community engagement, for all learners, in particular the most marginalized. The project achieves these goals by integrating three inter-connected, mutually supportive deliverables: a new course that educates PSU students; a family and community engagement center that leverages high-impact learning, allowing these students to use what they've learned in the classroom to solve real-world problems; and a professional development summit brings together stakeholders to PSU from across the state, to share experiences and enhance their own advocacy skills by learning from one another and experts in the field.
