Two student interns will conduct and analyze data comparing the biological diversity between a sustainably rehabilitated plot of land (the Sadhana Forest property) and a non-rehabilitated nearby area. The study will be couducted in Tamil Nadu, India. The field tests performed include bird point counts, malaise trapping of arthropods, leaf counts of invertebrates, and opportunistic cumulative counts of all animal taxa during the six-week period. All research will be conducted along transects intended to traverse the different vegetative forms within and outside the experimental forest.
