MTD students, training to become standardized patients (SPs), were successfully deployed in classroom/clinical integration activities within the PSU Nursing, Counseling and Physical Therapy programs. Student actors portrayed the roles of patients, scripted for program specific clinical scenarios. Students of professional allied health programs performed interpersonal and clinical practice techniques with SPs in a variety of simulated clinical environments, including a disaster drill, scripted counseling sessions, physical therapy treatments, and a semester ending Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
