Event Title

Revising Advising: A Proposed Integrated Advising Model to Support the Student Journey

Abstract

This session is the outgrowth of a faculty and staff collaboration seeking to integrate our advising efforts to reduce workload and enhance the student experience from pre-admission through the first year. Professional advisors, success coaches, and faculty worked together to understand what students experienced. Together, they imagined an ideal future state that would engage stakeholders and students in a more predictable experience that is effective and rewarding for all. Come hear from students, faculty and student success coaches how the work was done, what the current and ideal states look like, and learn about the proposed road map for change with some steps that can be easily implemented.
